How the Bible Ministry works

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. " Romans 10:17

Bibles are offered as a part of the gospel preaching on the Open Bible Hour by Brother Jerry Honeycutt through local and international radio broadcasts.

Listeners hear and write to the Open Bible Hour requesting a Bible of their own.

Brother Jerry orders a shipment of 2,000 Bibles by faith.

God's people pray and give. Offerings are sent to the Open Bible Hour, P.O. Box 100, Roan Mountain, TN 37687. Pastors and Christians are welcome to visit and see the actual workings of the Bible ministry.

The mail requesting Bibles is read and the addresses are attached to Bible-size envelopes by some of the families in Victory Baptist Church, which is the home of the ministry.

The Bibles, the envelopes, a short course in Bible knowledge, salvation tracts and other literature are assembled by volunteer workers and made ready for mailing.

Again God's people pray and give. The postage is the greatest cost involved in this ministry.

God always supplies.

When thirty five mail-ready Bibles are packed into a large shipping bag, they are ready for shipment. From the first broadcast, this ministry has been bathed in prayer.

When the Bibles are shipped they go out as a gospel messenger to a lost world.

Since the day the Holy Spirit moved on Brother Jerry's heart to offer a free Bible to anyone needing one, more than 300,000 Bibles have been sent through the Open Bible Hour.
